Flexibility without limitations

I can’t quite believe that Lynne and I have known each other for 20 years. We met working in corporate communications for a Financial Services Group. Things were so different back then. Leadership opportunities for women were limited and flexibility was non-existent.

Lynne left the group to launch AG from Cheshire. A year or so after, I made the decision to leave and launch my first business, consulting on experiential marketing projects and live events. Lynne and I stayed in touch via LinkedIn from our opposite ends of the country and one day I got a message form Lynne asking if I want to work on an AG project virtually and flexibly from London. I jumped at the chance to work alongside her again! The project involved me leading a high-profile event at Westminster too – a mind-blowing experience that I still think about to this day.

That was 12 years ago now. Since then, I’ve worked on projects with AG virtually from London, Yorkshire and now from Margate on the Kent Coast. Having the opportunity to work on exciting projects that align with my values and jumping in the sea in my breaks, feels SO good. I’ve always dreamt of living by the sea. It gives me such incredible energy which nurtures my ideas and creativity!

Working for AG has meant I’ve been able to move around the country and navigate some big life changes, all without career limitations. It’s also given me the flexibility to start my mentoring business, helping other women learn to work more flexibly and find a happier, healthier blend of life and work. I wouldn’t have dreamed any of this was possible 20 years ago, but with trust and the right leadership support at AG, it is!
