What is Carbon Literacy Training?

The course will take you from the basics of climate science and the current climate emergency to understanding its broader global impacts. You will learn how to pledge and implement relevant carbon-reducing actions in both your personal and professional life.

The course is ideal for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) committed to driving positive action on climate change. It is perfect for businesses seeking a deeper understanding of climate change and those wanting to contribute to sustainable practices.

What will you learn?
Participants of the Carbon Literacy training will gain:
A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of climate change, including its causes, effects, and the science behind it
Knowledge of the global and local impacts of climate change, and the associated inequity
Insight into the role businesses and individuals can play in mitigating climate change
Practical strategies for reducing carbon footprints within organisations.
Tools and resources for advocating and implementing sustainable practices in the workplace
Confidence in discussing climate change topics and influencing positive change as a business
You will be required to complete a Participant Evidence form, which will be sent to the Carbon Literacy Project for approval. Once approved, you will become certified as ‘Carbon Literate’, joining more than 107,000 others, including business leaders from businesses such as the NHS, Patagonia, ONE+all, Positive Planet and AG Comms; helping to embed a widespread low-carbon culture.
Who can attend?
The course is available to anyone passionate about protecting our planet. There are 12 spaces per cohort.

Employees at all levels who want to contribute to their company's sustainability efforts
Individuals at any stage of their sustainability journey, whether just starting out or already practising sustainable operations
No prior expert knowledge of climate change is required. The course is designed to be accessible and informative for everyone, from beginners to those with some experience in sustainability.
As a B Corp, AG Comms has made the commitment to not work with businesses who are categorised as existing within controversial industries. Cost
The course will cost £130pp
The price includes the cost of the certificate from Carbon Literacy Project (£10) and a £25 donation to Rewilding Britain.

There are a maximum of 12 spaces available
£10 covers the cost of your assessment and certificate from the Carbon Literacy Project. If you are not successful on your first submission, there is an additional re-submission charge of £10 levied by the Carbon Literacy Project.
