Joanne Fishwick
Director – Communications
& Impact
My background
I have worked in Communication and Employee Engagement roles for over 20 years in both B2C and B2B industries. I am experienced in designing and delivering communication and engagement strategies that ensure employees successfully connect the business vision and current strategic priorities to their role.
I have been a consultant for the past five years working for AG Communications. Prior to that, I worked for M&S Bank (parent company HSBC) as the Head of Engagement and Internal Communications for seven years. In this role, I created and executed the communications strategy and set the corporate social responsibility agenda.
What I enjoy most about my work
I love partnering with clients to devise solutions to their strategic communication challenges. I am enthusiastic about finding solutions to the company’s communication issues that are achievable within budget and resource constraints.
As an Impact Consultant, I am passionate about helping businesses define and embed sustainability within their strategy so they can improve their impact for both people and the planet while growing their profitability. I enjoy creating engagement activity plans that help educate audiences about what they can expect as positive impact begins to drive business strategy and decision-making.
Some of the companies I have worked with
Marks & Spencer, HSBC, Vodafone, AstraZeneca, General Mills – Old El Paso / Haagen-Dazs / Green Giant
My hope for the future
I have two young children. Becoming an Impact Consultant has highlighted how urgently we need to create a sustainable environment to ensure all children have a world to live in, in the future. This need drives my motivation to support companies that want to have a positive Impact. By partnering with businesses that are leading the Impact movement and are committed to change, my hope is that we can succeed as a society and develop a harmonious, sustainable way of working that prioritises Impact alongside profit.
