My background  

I have worked in Communications roles for nearly 20 years in both the public and private sectors and have a lot of experience of working with global organisations to deliver transformational change. I support leaders and teams who are undergoing significant change, with strategic communications planning and tactical campaign delivery. I enjoy creating high quality, engaging communications materials and ensuring they are maximised to underpin business transformations.​

I’ve been a consultant at AG Comms for nearly five years and prior to that I led communications for a variety of change programmes at Barclays, Unilever and the NHS.

What I enjoy most about my work 

I really enjoy the variety of what I do. Every project is different and you are regularly exposed to a range of business challenges and you get to partner with different team members to collaborate towards your shared goal.

I also thrive on a challenging communications brief, for example, having a complex project implementation plan or disparate audience group or engaging users on a complex technology product. This is where change and communications skills can really make a positive impact in enabling audience engagement and adoption.

My hope for the future 

I hope to keep working to support more businesses and projects that need to really engage colleagues and support them as they undertake internal transformation programmes. By providing effective change and communications plans and materials, colleagues can feel informed and reassured about the changes taking place in their organisation, their role within it and how they can access help.

I’d also like to draw on my Leadership for Good training and explore opportunities to work as an Impact Consultant. It’d be great to work with a business that is looking at how it can make its operation more sustainable, achieving a balance between a people and planet focus that doesn’t mean a lack of profit.

What I love about AG Comms 

I love working with an extended team of highly skilled professionals who enjoy what they do. It’s great to know that when you want to gather ideas or you have a question, you can rely on the AG Comms network for inspiration and support.

Working with great client partners on a flexible basis means clients only pay for what they need in terms of support and I can manage my own time efficiently to support a balance between work and life.
