My background  

I have worked in Strategic Internal Communications for over 20 years and Impact Improvement for 4 years. I thrive when helping global organisations and business leaders on transformational change and supporting entrepreneurs who need help to realise and scale their business impact and stakeholder engagement. 

I set up AG in 2010 to create a flexible workplace that could accommodate working mothers and still offer global projects that could be delivered virtually and part time. By 2019 the team had grown to 30+ members, and I wanted to find more purpose and impact for the business. So, I started looking at how I could better balance people and profit with the needs of our planet.

Between 2020 and 2024 we became a Certified B Corp and were awarded Platinum for EcoVadis. Both certifications show that AG works with high standards of Social, Environmental and Governance (ESG) and I now use this experience to help other business leaders improve their ESG credentials and set better targets.

I also mentor women and girls and at home, I am a mam to two teenage girls and two dogs called Chaz and Dave. 

What I enjoy most about my work 

It’s got to be delivering our purpose, every day. I love the variety of projects and connecting brilliant AG team members to clients who are making a positive impact. I also get such a buzz seeing a team member’s belief in themself grow as they smash their own objectives.

My hope for the future 

This would be a world where we have equality for women and girls and a planet that everyone and everything can thrive on. For me this starts with business, and I hope all leaders take ownership of their role to make better choices for people and remove the negative impacts that doing business has on nature. I want AG to be able to encourage and support more leaders on their ESG/change journey.

The brilliant people who chose to join us. The clients that trust us. And the non-profit partners who we support through our donations and pro-bono work. People really do make all the difference.

How does working for AG Comms support you? 

I am surrounded by experts who help me to lead the business and keep me sane (well sort of!). It takes a whole team to achieve our purpose, and every single team member is there to help when we meet the inevitable hurdles small businesses face. That trust and support has given me strength when I've needed it.
